New Mexico Gila Trophy Hunt

New Mexico Gila Trophy Hunt

ABOUT THE HUNT

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-king TROPHY HUNT for trophy elk, mule deer, antelope, wild turkey, onyx or bighorn sheep, we can offer it on 3 million acres of private and public land in southwest New Mexico.

The Outfitter for this hunt, with 25 years of experience, has a great reputation for finding trophy animals. On your hunt, you’ll be hunting in and around the Gila National Forest, which is well-known for GIANT BULL ELK. Because the outfitter has been guiding for many years and knows the area well, he prefers to only hunt for Trophy big game, and as all successful trophy hunters, he gives 110%.

Each summer, the guide spends countless hours in the field scouting, simply to ensure that his clients have the best chance possible at taking a Trophy. A tag for the area will need to be drawn, but we would be happy to help you out. Simply visit our CONTACT PAGE to get in contact with a Trophy Expert!

Archery, rifle, and muzzleloader hunts are available. Hunts include lodging and meals. Accommodations range from totally furnished ranch houses to comfortable wall tent camps… It all depends on where the best animals are found during preseason scouting.

Most hunts are 1 guide per 2 hunters, however, we can offer a 1 on 1 if you’d like. Archery hunts begin in September, while the bulls are bugling. The guides are excellent at calling the bulls in, and were sure your heart will be racing when that big bull eases to within 15 yards. Shooting opportunity success is about 90% at mature bulls.

Rifle and muzzleloader hunts take place in the Gila N.F. The Gila is well-known for huge bull elk, and is considered by many to be one of the TOP 10 ELK AREAS in the world for Trophy Bull Elk.

Mule Deer hunts are done on private leases, and hunter numbers are highly limited, as the management objective is to produce older age class bucks. Many of the mule deer tags can be purchased over-the-counter, while others are in limited entry draw areas. Give Trophy Chasers a call and we can give you the specifics.
In addition to the rifle and muzzleloader deer hunts, we also offer late-season archery deer hunts during the rut. Hunting during the rut is great and the chance at a real whooper is possible.

Antelope hunts are done on a very limited basis, and the opportunity at a world class goat is possible.

Season Dates: Late-Aug. through Jan.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The NMDGF offers an applicant three different hunt choices when applying. An applicant can mix dates and weapon choices to better their odds of drawing. Outfitter offers TENT CAMPS, LODGE/CABIN HUNTS and WILDERNESS HUNTS. If you have a preference please circle your choice on the APPLICATION FORM. If you have no preference on hunt choices or on accommodations, Outfitter will apply you for the best drawing odds in quality areas. Outfitter only applies their clients in the top units located in the state and process applications free of charge for our clients. Choose your hunt choice or choices and indicate them on the APPLICATION FORM ON BACK. Wilderness, late rifle, muzzle loader and early bow hunts are the easiest hunts to draw. Wilderness and Tent Camp Hunts require hunters to be in excellent physical condition.
